Johannesburg, 28th June 2019 – a star studded red carpet kicked off the Tammy Taylor Mrs. South Africa Charity Ball dinner in aid of the Women4Women held at Emperors Palace in the City of Ekurhuleni.
While this annual event has earned an honorable reputation for raising copious amount of money for the Women4Women Foundation each year, it is also always a glamorous affair and a perfect opportunity for guests to dust off their glass slippers and be treated to a delectable dinner while viewing a seamless production.
Hosted by the dapper Ketlego Maboe, the guests were entertained by music by a proudly all girl South African electric string quartet band, The Muses, as well as an incredible fashion show powered by Contempo Retail and Zviwa African Luxury Designs.
It was an important day on the Tammy Taylor Mrs. South Africa calendar, as the Top 100 Semi-Finalists, announced four months ago, pinnacled their journey of workshops, networking, judging and rehearsing, when the announcement of the Top 25 was made.
Phindi Gule-Burley (44) originally from Johannesburg but now lives in Kwa-Zulu Natal (Umdlothi) was amongst the 25 women announced as the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Finalist for 2019. She will go on the represent KZN, a province she calls home, in the Finals on 8th November 2019.
“I’m humbled to be selected amongst such incredible women. We each have different things to offer. Part of what I bring is an element of SELF EMBRACE. I’d like to use this platform to let Young Girls know that THEY ARE ENOUGH. They don’t have to fit in – it’s ok being a square, don’t try and squeeze into a triangle #DoYouPeriod. Embrace your natural self first and always remember that your Health is your Wealth” says Phindi Gule-Burley.
Judges Vusi Zwane, Hlengiwe Twala, Leanne Dlamini, Mel Viljoen, Nicole Capper and principal judge Cindy Nell-Roberts admitted to this being the hardest round of judging thus far as all semi-finalists had inspired them and displayed beauty, grace and dedication.
The Top 25 Finalists will now embark on a journey of fund raising, networking and self-development until the final round of judging to name the new Tammy Taylor Mrs. South Africa.
The crowning of the new Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa 2019 will take place at Emperors Palace on 8th November’ 19. The newly crowned Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa will become an ambassador for the organization and its sponsors and represent South Africa internationally at Mrs World.
The Mrs South Africa brand showcases the virtues of South Africa, the spirit of
